Wimmer Maschinentransporte – History

The present company Wimmer Machinentransporte GmbH was founded 38 years ago in Upper Bavaria. Transporting machinery locally was the main focus to begin with, but this was soon followed by projects in China, the USA and Sudan. The company then employed a team of 25.

In 2011 the company was taken over by the Felbermayr Holding. A time of expansion began for Wimmer Maschinentransporte GmbH with its integration into the company, which specialises in transport and lifting technology as well as the building trade. The number of staff currently employed has almost tripled since the takeover, increasing from 45 to 120.
